In Ouagadougou, a group of girls study at the women’s training center to become mechanics. Between sequined pumps and nail polish, they juggle with adjustable wrenches and discuss batteries or sanding body. What they are waiting for is the end of school and the opportunity to work, to support their families, and to free themselves from a patriarchal model. While the people are calling for political change, these young women are carrying a message for a whole country.

The screening will be followed by a meeting with Estelle Robin You, producer, and Alexandra Strauss, writer and editor, moderated by Loïck Berrou, editor-in-chief at France 24
